I think I can cook really well. At Pasta Fresca Russo, I usually order what I cook myself to see what Pietro conjures up with the dish. For me he is a role model at the stove and a challenge. Yesterday the Carbonara-fantastico. What Pietro cooks is not just a pleasure for me, but also an incentive and inspiration.

Paradise for pasta lovers The small pasta factory of the family Russo from Sicily exists since 13 years. After we drove countless times past the inconspicuous restaurant on the Weyerstraße in Solingen-Wald, we visited it today due to the many positive reviews. It consists of a sales room with a fresh food counter, a lower rustic-cozy dining room and a covered summer terrace with barbecue in the yard. The offer ranges from fresh home-made pasta in many variations to a wide selection of antipasti to classic Italian meat and fish dishes. On the blackboards you will find changing daily offers. In addition to a selection of fine Italian wines, the specialty is homemade Limoncello made with Sicilian lemons. This is so popular that it is reserved by regulars and bought by the bottle. We liked the pasta dishes very much. The Casarecce with chanterelles and bacon were perfectly cooked and deliciously fresh. The tagliatelle with 4 cheeses, walnuts and radicchio convinced by its consistency and freshness. Although radicchio was missing in our case, it did not spoil the taste of pasta in spicy cheese sauce. The portion sizes are considerable - we were handed a pasta dish to get really full - if not, you should order a homemade dessert. We spent a lovely Italian evening with the exceptionally friendly host family Russo. It was certainly not our last visit.

From the outside very inconspicuous. Inside comfortably furnished with a very nice outdoor area. The vegetarian antipasti for starters was outstanding, as was the fresh pasta for the main course. Accompanied by delicious house wine and everything for a very fair price. Highly Recommended!
